Plus, the resource cost reductions in ADDITION to the added skill make them a very cost effective and especially flexible backbone of my fleet.
They can die unexpectedly fast - I should know, I cause that to happen a lot - and I like the extra skill ability. Uhhh-from my limited experience playing the game, I can say that I prefer the Mechanicus favour for my L. So which favours do you favour and which do you dislike? There's only a few that seem slightly inferior, the biggest offender being maybe Imperial Navy. Overall I think the current favours are pretty well made. I doubt anyone would think the decoy is the real ship since it just flies off in a straight line but being able to switch places with it could function as a long range micro-jump. The second ability sounds quite nice as well. But popping off a gas cloud should function as temporary invisibility pretty well at least enough so that you can disengage without being fire upon. Tzeentch: Initially I though these would be very situational and kind of useless since it's fairly easy to remove a ship from concealment. As long as there's multiple enemy ships around anyways. Nurgle: The +20 to troop value is great and the damage over time to hull aura sounds like it's great as well. Looks unsettling in that way only Slaanesh can. Slaanesh: Setting a ship's abilities to cooldown is actually pretty nice and the passive +3000% to enemy ship insubordination seems great but I haven't seen it have any effect. Aesthetically it's very Khorne-y but the comically large demon head above the deck makes it look like a fair ground spooky house. Might be more limited as Chaos tactics tend to lean toward 6000+ engagements rather than close combat. Khorne: The Chaos version of the Astartes favour. Aesthically I like it but I wish they'd assigned random chapter colors and icons rather than just a skeleton figurehead and Imperial Fists yellow. With both attributes buffing lightning strike/boarding there's no better choice for a close combat ship. Not bad, not amazing.Īstartes: Seems situational to carriers or close combat ships but is very nice when used properly. Aesthetically I like it, a nice blue and gold. The Insubordination immunity sounds nice but insubordination is so rare this one seems kind of useless. More so if multiple ships take the favour.

Imperial Navy:A free escort Cobra might seem kind of useless but in prolonged games you can really rack up a few free ships. Either way it doesn't contrast well with the rest of the ship's nice looking red/green. It just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the ship with the silver on the prow's structure looking odd. The biggest issue for me though is the black and silver prow. It looks less like an icon and more like one of the Chaos giant demon heads. The giant AdMech icon on the front just looks kind of goofy. Aesthetically it looks the worst of the Imperial Favours. But the extra skill slot is what makes this one worth getting. Aesthetically it's the best looking in my opinion.ĪdMech: Omnissiah could be useful if you plan to heavily damage your ship a lot or get it early to save req on upgrades. Emperor's tarrot is very useful at the beginning of the game and a free point to all crew is quite nice as well. New Chaos grand campaign: To Serve The Dark Gods.Inquisition: I'd have to say this is probably the best general purpose Imperial favour.
